Plants really are at the core of our company, and we know a lot about them. To have a beautiful lush garden, many factors are to be considered.

Selecting the correct plants for the soil conditions, sun, and drainage are fundamentals that you need to get right. This then needs to tie in with the desired look, functionality, and level of maintenance the client wants. At Blue Nikau, we will replace 100% of plants that are unsuccessful within a year.

Nursery

Blue Nikau actually grows a lot of our own plants in our nursery on the Tutukaka coast. We love natives, but also specialise in a lot of exotic species and landscape staples which provide endless looks and styles. The Northland climate allows subtropical gardens to flourish if done right. We also have many contacts in the industry, no plant is too big for us.

Lawn and irrigation

Roll-out Lawn installation and sowing is another fundamental part of your landscape creation. Our team will select the best type of grass for your situation and climate. To keep everything happy through summer we often recommend installing an automated irrigation system, something we are very proficient at.

Maintain

We proudly have landscaped all of Marsden’s coves, The Anchorage Lifestyle Village, and continue to maintain all of their gardens. A garden needs help to stay and become more beautiful with age and we keep a garden maintenance round to accomplish this for those who need help.

These services include; Fertilising, Mulching, Irrigation, Pruning, Hedging, Weed and pest control, Infill planting, Lawn renovation, and Staking.
